"Creating your own world takes courage"
— Georgia O'Keeffe
In her tattooing and illustration practice, Epithumia Rose embarks on a journey where delicacy, vivacity, and abstraction mingle, all woven through the medium of ink. Her artistic exploration revolves around the ephemeral beauty of flowers, the intricate dance of delicate lines, and the kaleidoscope of colors that breathes life into her creations.
Human portraits become the beating heart of Epithumia's art. Through these faces, she celebrates the diversity of human experiences, honoring the power of their individuality and their right to bodily autonomy. Each portrait is an ode to their unique essence, capturing the core of their being in delicate lines and vibrant colors.
Delicacy is not just a visual quality in her art; it is an affirmation of the importance of tenderness and respect in all human interactions. She strives to create a space where everyone feels free to express their true essence, without compromise or judgment.
Yet, amidst this celebration of bodily autonomy and individuality, there exists an explosion of color and abstraction that adds a dynamic dimension to her work. Epithumia Rose revels in freedom of expression, splashing vibrant hues onto canvas and skin, weaving together abstract forms that stimulate the imagination and spark curiosity.
In essence, her art is a celebration of the vivid tapestry of life, a testament to the beauty found in every fleeting moment. Through portraits, delicate pieces, abstraction, and a myriad of colors, she invites viewers to journey with her into a world where art transcends boundaries and speaks directly to the soul, where the right to bodily autonomy is not only recognized but celebrated.
Epithumia has been working with LE CARTEL since 2019, and has developed with the brand some of her most iconic pieces, such as: CONFUSION, LE SALAIRE, JARDIN SECRET.
