x THE CARTEL
An artist passionate about drawing since childhood, Thomas BROQUET, alias BROKOVICH, grew up in the heart of a ski resort in the Jura mountains. His proximity to board sports naturally drew him to skateboarding and its distinctive culture within the movement of street art, graffiti, and all forms of public art.
After a stint at the Lausanne University of Art and Design (ECAL), BROKOVICH specialized in graphic design. His artistic versatility grants him the ability to brilliantly embrace the roles of illustrator, graphic designer, and enameler, while distinguishing himself as a visual artist who has forged a unique artistic universe, peppered with distinctive signs that make his works instantly recognizable, like true icons.
Throughout his collections marked by masks, faces, silhouettes, and various figurines, one can invariably detect the essence of BROKOVICH, notably through that pair of scrutinizing eyes that serves as the signature of his work.
With remarkable dexterity, BROKOVICH plays with mediums and scales, from the infinitesimal to the mural scale, imposing his style with authority. He is a master of the art of engraving, painting, cutting, gluing, repurposing, accumulating, or assembling, all while preserving that childlike innocence. With ingenuity, he enjoys collecting and reinterpreting objects of all kinds, reinventing them and thus questioning their obsolescence.
A faithful participant in art exhibitions and festivals, BROKOVICH has exhibited his works in France, Switzerland, Montreal, Luxembourg, Germany, as well as in China and South Korea, affirming his presence on the international art scene.
A close friend of LE CARTEL since its beginnings, BROKOVICH is collaborating once again with the brand in 2024 as part of the collective t-shirt exhibition "PARIS EST UNE FÊTE".
